365

I have joined a ton of other people online doing a photo a day! Yes I am trying to take a photo a day and hope to make a Blurb book when it is all said and done….

I have started a new blog for just my 365 photos (no other updates)…

My 365 in 2009.

Come check it out!

We really don’t need these reminders!

I just opened my google home page and read this:

John Travolta’s 16-year-old son dies in Bahamas

Everytime I read an article like this I remind myself to be more patient and attentive to my kids!  You just never know when something will happen. I will be praying for some peace for the Travolta family!

Whew the Holidays are over…

and the blog has been poorly neglected! I always tell myself I will be better prepared for the holiday and shopping wise we were this year, but I barely decorated the house for Christmas. A very poor excuse, but it just seemed like soo much work! I’m sure it won’t all be updated at this one sitting, but hopefully it will only take a few installments LOL (I think there will be the before Christmas, the after Christmas and then Christmas) Heck I have loaded all the Christmas pictures, but only a few have been edited!

A couple weeks before Christmas the weathermen said we could get snow…well for once or twice they were right! We got snow and ICE! A few years ago we had snow and ice like this but the kids were too little to even remember it. Both E and Bella loved it that is until they got cold!  =)

Here are some of my favorites from the Artic Blast of 2008 (don’t blame me for the bad name…that is what all of the weather people called it!)

Ethan building his first snowman, which he named Charlie, the thought Frosty was a little over-used!  =)

Did you notice that when Ethan built “Charlie” that he used most of the snow around him, now it snowed a bit more and then some more and more and then it just rained ICE…

Now you can’t even see baby Charlie (yes scroll back up a bit and look again) Don’t worry Charlie and Baby Charlie both survived!

Here are more of my favorite pictures from our “snow storm”

our street full of ice! Needless to say that my hubby drove me to work a couple days! This really isn’t a common occurance for us and just makes me uncomfortable!

It has now all melted, but we did have a wonderful WHITE  Christmas!

More soon on the aftermath of Christmas (it might take a couple more days to get the Christmas photos edited!)…

Thanks for making it this far!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I know the blog is in need of a major update (I promise coming soon), but wanted to make sure I took a few minutes to wish everyone a Very Merry  Christmas!!!

I look forward to sharing the past couple weeks (think snow) and our Christmas Holiday!

I’ve been tagged…

Imagine my surprise when I opened up Melissa’s blog on my google reader and saw my name (ok a common name) but it was a link to my blog!   =)

6 things that make me happy:

  • The last few morning we have NOT had any tantrums (you can not believe how much better that starts the day!
  • Digital Scrapbooking . . . my stress reliever
  • My smarty pants kids! (Ethan’s principal is having him do some reading stuff way above where he should be and Miss Bella knows her prayers: Our Father and  the Hail Mary and loves to say them! To the point of we have complete arguements from Ethan & Bella on who is saying the prayer or starting prayers at dinner!)
  • My hubby loves to play with the kids!
  • Knowing that after the first of the year we are cutting out Bella’s naps (she will be 3.5yrs old) and praying that bedtime will be easier and in her OWN bed!
  • I am pretty darn close to being done with my Christmas shopping! (They are going to be sooo spoiled…it is so hard to stop shopping).

I am tagging:

Fields of Honey . . . maybe if you tell her you love her earrings she will make some more!! Hint Hint Hint!  (check out her website and you will see that there is nothing to buy… Click HERE to see the earrings she has already sold! I love mine and wear them all the time!)  =)

Stephanie . . . she is a fellow digi scrapper! OMG I love seeing how people start this wonderful hobby and how much they change! I love seeing all the pages she started and where she is at now! AWESOME!!!

Michelle . . . well because she has the best ideas and is soo creative! I just need her to post some of her ideas sooner LOL I mean her newest blog post about wrapping daily Christmas books to open is awesome! I needed that sooner!   =)  That is just the beginning of her great creative ideas!!!

Go take a look around some of my favorite blogs!!!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

2008 Christmas Tree

I am always slow to get into the holiday spirit. I always get there once the tree is up so not sure why I try to put that off….but yes we got the tree out and UP yesterday afternoon! The kids had soo much fun helping and well it was hard to keep their little hands out of the totes and totes of Christmas stuff! I think this was the first year that Bella really understood or was really able to help decorate the tree. They both did great. I had to remind Ethan a few times to put things up higher…and Miss Bella, well she just kept putting the ornaments on the same branch. I need to get a few better pictures …. It was fun… Wish I would have had Christmas music playing or a movie in the background, some nice warm hot chocolate….instead I had a lasagna cooking in the oven and it was dinner, dishes and the kids off to bed!

Let the christmas season begin….

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a nice simple Thanksgiving Weekend! Nothing amazing, yet nice and well spent family time! My last post was with Thanksgiving day new clothes for the kids… ahh to say I had got great pictures of the kids in their new outfits…well that would be awesome and also a LIE! I soo wish I would have gotten that one great shot (would have helped if I would have taken more than 19 photos over Thanksgiving Day–6 of those at church trying to get these shots that aren’t even that great)… but here are the kids all dressed up and the family too!

E & Bella all dressed up

It is soo hard to get a good picture at church… I mean you are at the alter, people are all over the place, you are trying to be quick, you are at the alter so it isn’t like you can yell or threaten the kids very well LOL.

Freinds were nice enough to offer to take a family picture…. fuzzy and out of focus and well not everyone is making a good face so we will take it as is…

I just loved seeing them soo dressed up and thankgoodness Bella is all girl…she is all about dresses (they have to “twirl” though) and Ethan will be so GC later in life. He loves to be handsome and dress appropriately. I just need to keep working on the fact that you don’t normally wear a tie w/ a polo and not with a flannel either!

Ethan, Bella & London playing the piano

Ethan, Bella & London playing the piano

From church we had lunch/dinner at Grammy Helen’s and Papa Jim’s. Todd’s brother, wife and boys were there too… I barely took any pictures, but was able to snag this picture of the 3 of them playing the piano. Boy did London love the piano this trip. Hard to believe London is already going to be 3 at the end of January.

Saying a few prayers for him this week. He woke up about a week ago and couldn’t put any pressure on his leg (can’t remember which one) and they are still running tests to find out what is wrong. He tries his best to keep up with the other kids and you can definately tell he isn’t quite himself (so much more mellow) …. Praying they figure it all out soon!

Speaking of Bella being all girl check out these new shoes:

Grammy Helen gave these silver shoes to Bella early (they were supposed to be for Christmas) but since we bought her a silver and black dress for Christmas service, Grammy gave them to her early (I wanted to make sure that they fit and we weren’t scrambling at the last minute–even though that would be very much like me)  and well they have barely been off her feet since Thursday afternoon (to Sunday night). She wakes up from nap she asks where her silver shoes are, we left my parents house Thanksgiving night and she requested to be carried. She knew once she wore them outside that she couldn’t just wear them in the house! =)

Not sure about your neck of the woods…but it was just beautiful here on Saturday like I mean 64deg…pretty nice for her! =) So guess what the boys were doing at my house… Yup putting up Christmas light!

Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

Ethan was pretty excited to be helping… I think snapped more more pictures of them doing the lights than I did on Thanksgiving! Here are a few of my favorites:
Annual Roof Climb

Annual Roof Climb

Ethan made the annual roof climb! He acts soo scared and then walks around the roof like he has no care in the world… fun to watch (I know bad parents alert… heck we’ve let him up on the roof for a few years now). Below is a picture of Ethan looking into the house from the window right behind him in the picture above (make sense?)

Last but not least… This is the top item on Ethan’s Christmas list:

Also if you can’t read “fridge” that is a N-I-N (upside down U)-T-E-N (upside down V)-D (upside down P)-O…. Yup the boy is growing up…
P.S.  He is getting a BLUE Nintendo DS for Christmas… He will be soo excited!
Hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving Weekend too!
